These are the base soldiers in an international scamming business that is splitting minds and taking billions of money.

In a tiny flat in Ghana, in west Africa, an ambitious entrepreneur trawls Twitter for separated and widowed girls on the other side of the world.

The 27-year-old, whom calls themselves Kweiku, is searching for ‘clients’ — scammer parlance for subjects who can become fooled online into sending revenue.

For Kweiku, relationship frauds tend to be a transaction, not a criminal activity.

“A client was anybody, a business spouse which gives you funds, this is exactly why you employ the phrase client,” he told Four Corners.

“most are divorced and some — their own husbands are actually lifeless.”
